If you want to buy stocks, you're going to need a broker to take care of all the transactions.

What's Involved with Opening a Stock Brokerage Account?

Once you've appropriately researched your broker alternatives and decided on which one is right for you, you'll probably want to go ahead and open a stock brokerage account.

Opening an account doesn't require much more than filling out an application! Don't worry about the title "application" -- we haven't turned down anybody yet!

You download the application forms, sign them, enclose them in an envelope and you'll receive confirmation of your ability to start trading in pretty short order. That's about it!

Do I Need a Lot of Money to Open an Account?

If you're just starting out as a new investor, you might not be having a lot of money. Fair enough!

In this case you will need a minimum for getting started. In order for your account to be activated we require that you make a minimum initial deposit of EURO 1,000 or to transfer all or part of your securities to us.

Can I Transfer my Current Account to a New Brokerage Firm?

If you already have an account that you'd like to transfer from one broker to another, it's simple. Your new broker will help you making that transfer.

If you wish to transfer only part of your account -- that is, transfer some shares from an existing account without closing it out completely -- you can also easily do that.

Commissions:

For all our online or personal transactions, we offer the best competitive commission rates.

For all types of transactions, our rates range between 0.25% to 0.90% depending upon volume. The minimum commission per transaction is 5 EUROS.

Moreover, the Athens Stock Exchange is charging certain fees which per transaction range from 0.036% to 0.087%.

The Greek State is also imposing a 0.10% sales tax. Your dedicated account executive will always be ready to discuss and offer the best available rates!

We require that you hold the security in your account prior to placing your order.

We require that you have sufficient funds in your account to cover the purchase.
